Frequently asked questions.

Do you accept Insurance?

Insurance companies determine what is necessary or not necessary for your healthcare. This limits our ability to provide you with comprehensive treatments; therefore, in order to provide you with the best medical care, insurance is not accepted. Payment is required at the time of your visit; however, FlexSpending Account or Health Savings Account credit cards, as well as major credit cards or cash can be used to pay for treatments. If you would like to submit your bill to your insurance for reimbursement, let us know at the beginning of your appointment, and a bill will be prepared for you to submit to your insurance with the appropriate codes (CPT and ICD-10).

What should I expect for the first visit?

The first visit will take between 60 and 90 minutes. This enables me to get a thorough history, which helps me find the root cause of your problems. Prior to coming in, write down all medications and supplements you are currently using, including the dose (how many mg), how many times a day you take them, and the brand name. Also, please arrive at least 20 minutes early to fill out the new patient paperwork before your appointment time.

Are you available for questions between appointments or for emergencies?

If you are truly having an emergency, then you need to call 911. If you have an acute illness, I have a few appointments throughout the week to help accommodate those. For simple questions about your current treatment plan, you are welcome to send your questions via email. A response will be sent within 1-2 business days. However, if the questions are extensive or require new prescriptions or changes to existing treatment plans or prescriptions, a follow-up appointment will be required.

What is your cancellation policy?

There is no cancellation fee if the appointment is canceled within 24 hours. If it is not canceled in that time frame, then you will be billed $50.00.

Do you do telemedicine?

Yes, I do provide telemedicine. However, if possible, I prefer that the first visit be in person. If you live greater than 20 miles away, I will be willing to do all visits via telemedicine.
